Welcome to Ruby Designs.

We’re glad you’re here, and we hope you’ll like what you find. In order to fully understand our business model, below for your reading enjoyment are some of our most commonly asked questions and their answers. Please reach out to us if there is anything about our products or service that you have further questions on. We’d love to visit with you.

How often do you ship fabric?

Three times per year. Order deadlines are March 1 (summer designs delivered to your store in early May), July 1 (holiday designs delivered in early September), and December 1 (spring designs delivered in early February). You can call and ask to be added to our sample list, and you will receive physical samples at least two weeks before the order deadline.

What makes your fabric special?

Our base fabrics are special because we have meticulously sourced, tested, and personally use each of them. We look for highest fiber quality and best printing quality from our suppliers. We have made sure our fabrics are printed the full width, so your customers can have full use of the selvage. And we have found lovely options that fall between old fashioned fibers that are tough and uncomfortable, and modern fibers that are cheap and flimsy.

Are your fabrics quality tested?

Yes, our base fabrics are all rigorously tested for stain repellent, wrinkle resistance, shrinkage, ink retention, snagging, pilling, static, and hard wear. Of course, as we introduce new fabrics they will have less of a track record, and we will remove from our list any base fabrics that do not prove themselves to be of the highest quality.

Do you offer quantity discounts?

Yes! Any store owner who orders more than 30 bolts of fabric will have a 5% discount automatically added at checkout. There is no limit to the amount of times you can benefit from this discount, and no cap on the amount of the discount. We appreciate the trust our biggest store owners have placed in us.

Should we tell our customers to preshrink your fabrics?

Yes. While we have very few incidences of shrinking from hot washing or high heat drying, it is a risk with every base fabric. In order to help your customers get full value from their fabric, we encourage all our store owners to recommend preshrinking all fabrics.

What happens if my fabric disappoints me?

If your fabric arrives at your store and it is damaged, flawed, or in some way disappoints you, please reach out to us immediately and we will do everything in our power to solve your problem and make sure you receive the full value for your money. We stand behind our fabrics and we believe you will not be disappointed!
